Husband
and wife team think MARK V is a “must have” tool!
James
Lance, Julian, CA writes...
“My wife, Cleo and I have found that the Shopsmith is a MUST HAVE.
We have used our Shopsmith to build all sorts of things such as deck stairways,
plank walkways, etc., as well as wood products such as you see in the
enclosed picture. Being a retired engineer, I’ve found that rather
than having a machine for each operation, it is just as efficient to program
your operations for best set-ups and production results.”
Nephew
says you can take it (the MARK V) with you
Jim Ferrante of Massapequa, NY writes...
“When my wife’s cabinetmaker Uncle immigrated from Italy in the mid 50’s,
he knew he had to set up shop as soon as possible…and this is where the
Shopsmith MARK V came in. The multi-purpose tool fits all his needs
with a table saw, drill press, lathe, sander, etc. Add a few attachments
such as a bandsaw and a jointer and he was back in business. And imagine
all this tucked away in a corner of his garage.
Well, this was 45+ years ago and he has since retired. Unable to take
his MARK V with him to the retirement home.…I inherited it and have been
using it for the past 20 years for projects around the house. Now, with
my retirement just a few short years away, I plan to follow in the way
of my Uncle…except for one thing. The MARK V is coming with
MARK V makes man “feel like a kid again”
Louie Ruiz of San Diego, CA writes...
“I purchased my Shopsmith in 1999 and was so excited I couldn’t wait to
try out my new toy. I hadn’t worked with wood in 27 years and the only
experience I had is what I learned in high-school. Now, I’m 47 years
young and feel like a kid again, working with wood.”
1956 MARK V — 44 years old and still going strong!
Edward Levin of Highland Park, IL writes...
“I purchased my Shopsmith MARK V (along with the Jointer and Jigsaw) in
1956. I had a small workshop and the MARK V suited my space wonderfully.
Now, 43 years later, the same MARK V (upgraded to the 510 model) is still
my main power tool…and still runs great.
I have completed many wonderful projects with my MARK V and have recommended
the Shopsmith to many of my friends. My sons are also woodworkers
and have requested that I will them the MARK V. The problem is…I
have two sons and only one Shopsmith”
