The Pencil & Stamp Holder

5. Using the same 3/16" Blade, cut out the inside contour of the Drawer (see Detail D).

6. With a small Drum Sander, sand the inside of the Drawer. Then, using your Disc or Belt Sander, smooth the Sides of the Drawer Body and the surfaces of the Drawer Sides. Glue and clamp the Sides to the Drawer Body.

7. Measure the width of your reassembled Drawer and sand the Main Body of the box (without the Sides attached) to this same width plus 1/16". Sand the Sides smooth, then glue and clamp them to the Main Body. Don't use too much glue during assembly, as it will be difficult to get inside of the box to remove dried squeeze-out.

8. Drill a series of 3/8" diameter pencil holes in the top of the Main Body (see drawings) and drill the knob mounting hole in the Drawer front.

9. Using your Bandsaw with a 3/16" blade, cut the top contour for the Main Body (see Detail E), then sand it smooth and apply the finish of your choice.

Suggested retail price: $15 to $20
