Arizona owner likes doing business The Shopsmith Way J. Levy of
Tucson, AZ writes... Several months ago, I purchased a Miter-Pro Extension which would not fasten securely to the Miter Gauge despite strong-arm tactics. Following repeated attempts to eliminate the wiggle (and using words I had long since forgotten), I called Shopsmith's assist number and explained the problem to a very knowledgeable young lady who told me to keep the improperly drilled extension and expect a replacement - free of charge. Two days later, a brand new Extension Arm was at my front door! Service like this is unheard-of in today's business World. My sincere thanks to a superb company that really cares about its customers. Shopsmith has earned my loyalty, not only for its excellent products, but for its service to match.
Virginia man raves about his MARK V and Shopsmith's classes J. Fox of
Arlington, VA writes... In my job as an industrial engineer with the Department of Defense, I have endless opportunities to observe varying levels of quality and workmanship. The extreme care with which your equipment is crafted reflects the very highest standards in the industry - regardless of price ! The fact that it's made in the USA demonstrates beyond any doubt that the Japanese have NOT cornered the market on quality, craftsmanship or cost. It is true that any organization is only as good as its people and yours are top-notch in knowledge, helpfulness and a generally helpful attitude. It's a pleasure doing business with you. Thus far, I have taken two (Shopsmith woodworking) courses. The first, a special course in sharpening techniques. This is probably the best-taught Techniques course I have ever had, including engineering school and masters programs. Following this, I took the MARK V Techniques Course. Again---another well-organized, friendly approach coupled with a deep and thorough knowledge of the subject matter, resulted in a genuinely rewarding learning experience for the entire class. I look forward to completing all of the courses offered..... Please keep the excellence of your organization uppermost in your future business decisions. It is only through companies such as yours that the United States can hope to be competitive in the future global marketplace. |
