owner uses MARK V to work plastics
Robert S Parsons
of Gloucester, MA writes...
I'm sure most people connect Shopsmith equipment with wood. However,
I use my MARK V to build model Plexiglass ships. I turned my hobby into
a profitable business and paid for my MARK V in just six months!
Nebraska
carpenter says his MARK V is quite suitable for everyday commercial use
Fred Craigie

I'm a carpenter by trade and the MARK V fits my needs quite nicely.
I did restoration work on old City Hall here in Lincoln that included
rebuilding and restoring 128 double-hung windows and building 10 new panel
doors to match existing doors. They were all 2-1/8" thick ash lumber with
4-piece casings. I don't know how often you hear about the MARK V being
used in commercial applications, but I run the wheels off mine!
Delaware
husband-and-wife team attend Shopsmith Woodworking Academy
together
Noel Benner
of Wilmington, DE writes…
My husband, Floyd had a Shopsmith Model 10-ER that I would use...but
only after he did the set-ups. I had some projects I wanted to build,
and for this reason, I was determined to learn how to set up and operate
our new MARK V. When Floyd decided the best way to get the most out of
our investment was to attend the Shopsmith Woodworking Academy, I was
ready to go. I especially enjoyed the bowl turning and gained a lot of
respect for our MARK V. Floyd was impressed with the course, too and enjoyed
learning how to make finger joints, plus other techniques that would make
his woodworking easier. It was great fun!
Idaho
man loves space-saving benefits of his MARK V
G. Gary Simpson
of Idaho Falls, ID writes…
I am extremely happy with my Shopsmith MARK V. Being a novice woodworker,
I was surprised that I've gained enough confidence to build numerous useful
and satisfying projects in the short time since I purchased it. It's also
the only way I could possibly have all my woodworking capabilities in
a very limited space. Keep up the good work.
Texas owner happy to spread the good word about his
MARK V

I'm happy to tell fellow woodworkers how happy I am with my Shopsmith
MARK V and all he accessories. I have had the occasion to purchase many
different machines and tools in my lifetime...not just woodworking tools,
but tools of all kinds from many different manufacturers. In all of these
purchases, I have gotten many fine machines, but I must say that I have
never been so delighted, nor enjoyed any of them as much as I enjoy my
Shopsmith MARK V! The people I have dealt with in ordering parts, answering
questions, etc., have been top-notch, courteous, helpful and pleasant
to deal with in every way. I can and will recommend Shopsmith tools every
chance I get!
California
man enjoys pass-along MARK V
Ronnie Sherer
of Canby, CA writes…
I'm a volunteer fireman in a small town in Northern California.
I have a MARK V that my grandfather gave my dad, who then gave it to me.
It's a 1956 model.
I've built
kitchen cabinets, a nine-drawer dresser/closet, end tables, a stereo cabinet
and a waterbed frame with it. My grandfather originally bought it to build
his home...my dad has used it for years...and now, I have it. I think
it will probably out-last me! It's the most important tool in my shop
and I wouldn't even think of having a shop without a Shopsmith MARK V
in it!
