Man looks forward to retirement with his MARK V! Roger Schmuke, Sullivan, MO writes . . . “I first saw the Shopsmith (MARK V) on TV. This man was talking about how . . . My machine will do this -- and my machine will do that . . . Once I understood what he was talking about, I told my wife . . . This is what I've been looking for all my life! Well, I finally got one and once a year, I add one more addition such as Planer, Jointer, Bandsaw, etc. I've had so much enjoyment and made so many things -- you wouldn't have enough time to read about them all. Now, I'm making two grandfather clocks . . . one for my sister and brother-in-law, and another for my wife and I. There are so many things I want to make with my MARK V when I retire that I feel like I just can't wait . . . but I guess I'll just have to. In the meantime, I'll just keep chugging along, project after project!”
Two generations -- Two MARK V's Robbie Teele of High Springs, FL writes . . . “In 1970, my father bought a Shopsmith at a garage sale and built a house with it. So, at a young age, I knew about Shopsmith and always dreamed of having one of my own. In 1998, my friend, Morry told me about his uncle who had passed away 10 years before. His aunt was in the process of moving and came across the old Shopsmith. She wanted to give it to someone who would enjoy it as much as her husband had . . . and Morry knew that I was that person. In January of 1999, I brought home my Shopsmith. I completely disassembled, sanded and re-painted it to its original colors and ordered some new parts to rebuild it. I finished the job in March and it ran great. My father still has his Shopsmith and uses it regularly. There are now two satisfied MARK V customers in the Teele family!” More Mail from our Owner’s . . . |
