“I want to thank your excellent personnel for helping me with a small problem. I needed a switch for my MARK V and proceeded to order it. Only problem was...this dumb Irishman ordered the wrong one! So, I called, expecting a hassle in getting the wrong one returned and the right one ordered. Boy, was I wrong! Your gal took care of it so efficiently that I wasn't sure we were done with everything.

North Carolina man enjoys Shopsmith “Fundamentals” course

“Last week I attended your Fundamentals of Woodworking course...and although I have been a very satisfied Shopsmith owner for many years, this was my first opportunity to attend a training session. I would be remiss if I did not write to tell you what a wonderful experience it was. The instructor was professional, thoroughly knowledgeable and most helpful. In all, it was three of the best days I've had in a long time and I am looking forward to my next class. My compliments to you and your staff for the great job everyone is doing.

 

Michigan man appreciates Shopsmith's honesty

“I have owned a MARK V since 1963. It has given me good and faithful service. On two occasions, I have had some problems with the machine. The first problem was solved by (Shopsmith's) “Nancy”, over the phone. The second problem required that I dismantle (the machine) and send in my headstock. Again, "Nancy" was responsible for the repair.

First, I appreciate Nancy's honesty. She could have sold me another headstock and I would never have known that the old one could be repaired. Second, during the repair, Nancy and I talked and she explained how she had to adapt some washers to solve a "sheaves" problem.

Third, with the return of my headstock (in perfect working condition), the touch I really appreciated was a nice, hand-written letter from Nancy. In her letter, she explained the nature of the repairs and even included suggestions for preventative maintenance. You should feel proud to have in your employ individuals such as Nancy who establish such a fine relationship with your customers.
