North Carolina owner returns to MARK V workshop after several year absence

Robert D. of Southport, NC writes...
Robert's letter describes how he had used his MARK V to build two cradles for his first two grandchildren in 1985. He went on to explain how that after several years, he had occasion to build a duplicate of these two for another grandchild, scheduled to arrive soon. His letter reads...

“Also, I had not been using my MARK V to any extent and had to re-acquaint myself with the machine, even to the point of re-reading some sections of the operating manual. This certainly gave me the opportunity to utilize the many features of the MARK V, including the Lathe for turning the spindles - the horizontal boring feature to (dowel) join the boards for the ends - the drill press feature for other boring - and the bandsaw for several cuts.

Of course, the table saw and belt sander were also used in making and finishing the parts. ...the machine continues to do what it is advertised to do and only required that I familiarize myself with it for a short time. This return to my woodshop has honed my interest in the machine and its features. I expect to spend much more retirement time in making sawdust and hopefully, some useful projects.

Washington State owner agrees...MARK V is a multi-purpose wonder

Carroll W. of Covington, WA writes...
“You did a super job of engineering the Shopsmith (MARK V). All functions are of industrial quality and no function is compromised by being a multi-purpose tool !

New York husband and wide “team” sing Shopsmith's praises

“Thank you. Your products are great and your customer service telephone help exceptional. Your company takes pride in all aspects of business and it is clear to see how important you make your customers feel. It's great to know there is a company that really cares. Thanks again.
