Restorer of antiques uses MARK V to become an accomplished woodworker

Jim Sunser of Patton, PA writes . . .

"Most of my work in an antique shop consists of repairing and refinishing furniture. However, one day, I spied an old dry sink that I really wanted. So, with my MARK V, a pile of old oak lumber, a bag of square-headed nails and 18 hours of work, I reproduced the dry sink at almost no expense.

I've had no previous power tool woodworking experience, but thanks to your easy-to-operate equipment, I'm gaining confidence."

MARK V owner discovers that having the right tools can make a BIG difference

Brad Evans of Wichita, KS writes...

"My daughter's three-drawer bed was finished with my Shopsmith MARK V. I say "finished" because I started it over four years ago but had given up on completing it because I thought the construction was beyond my abilities. It wasn't until I acquired my MARK V and built a few starter projects that I realized the former problem was in my equipment and not in my abilities.

Your marvelous machine can make a woodworker out of anyone !"

Texan says his MARK V has "sure paid for itself"

C.D. Bishop of Big Sandy, TX writes...

"Back in the early 50's, my wife bought me a brand-new Shopsmith MARK V. No one knew how to run it or set it up, so when it came out in a wooden crate, it went into the empty side of our double garage and Voila!, I had a woodworking shop ! In a paper sack on top of the crate was a copy of Power Tool Woodworking for Everyone. With it as my "bible", I learned from scratch how to make things out of wood.

Looking back over all these years, that old Shopsmith has sure turned out a gigantic amount of work. After 43 years, that 'ol machine has sure paid for itself. It's still out in my shop....working away. I couldn't do without it."

Son couldn't wait to inherit dad's MARK V -- so he bought his own !

Robert Writt of Houston, TX writes...

"I was first introduced to the Shopsmith MARK V about 25 years ago when my Father and I attended a seminar at a shopping mall in Elyria, Ohio. I talked him into buying one on the spot and he's really enjoyed using it through the years. In fact, he still compliments me today for talking him into buying it and has built numerous projects with it. His current project is helping my Mother in building a doll house.

I bought my own MARK V last year (I couldn't wait for Dad to give me his) and used it to build my first project (a walnut bookcase). I couldn't be any happier because I know that my Shopsmith will last a lifetime, just like my Dad's."
