"When I became serious about purchasing a Shopsmith MARK V, several of
my friends felt that the unit was too complicated, too difficult to set
up & adjust and the idea of several tools in one unit was just to awkward.
Well, today, they're
singing another tune ! They've seen my MARK V in action and I've made
believers out of all of them ! That business about the MARK V being difficult
to set up is NONSENSE ! I keep all the accessories near my machine and
am able to change modes in a few minutes."

enjoy working with my Shopsmith MARK V. This is my third machine, having
started with a model 10-ER, then later a MARK V along with the Jointer
attachment. Then, for some reason, I began to think that I would be better
off with a radial arm saw, so I sold my MARK V and bought one. I kept
it for a while, but soon learned that it could not even begin to compare
with the overall benefits of the MARK V when it comes to doing the complete
job. So, in 1971, I purchased another MARK V. Thanks again for a great
home workshop, a fine magazine and service that's hard to beat!"

"The MARK V makes us money. Plus, my wife is talking about a new dining
table, coffee table, end tables, and the list is endless. I honestly believe
she would sell anything (including the furniture we own) before she would
agree to sell the MARK V. Why? Well, we can make our own furniture ! Case
in point: this weekend during her yard sale, she sold the coffee table
and end tables from the living room. My next project ? You guessed it
!"
